Project Description


The RTU, based on ITACO-MP48 technology,  is designed to be able to offer products, systems and integrated solutions for every application in the industrial, infrastructure, residential and utilities fields. The clear criticality of the application and the characteristics of the environments in which these devices heve to work, requires special care in  all stages of production, from design to installation and start-up. For this reason we have achieved very stringent quality goals of our product: high modularity, high performance, reliability certified by accredited laboratories, specifically engineered testing procedures. From the hardware point of view, quality of each product is guaranteed by 32-bit CPU, while, as regards the software, by the LinuxRT operating system and by components implementing the IEC 60870-5 (101, 103, 104 both client and server) protocol family, by the IEC 61850 protocol and by Modbus protocol (master and slave). The processor can also implement programmable logic according to IEC 61131 and to set up an HMI panels framework, programmable with graphic design software.

  • Modular architecture based on a base unit capable of handling 48 field points (32 Digital Inputs, 8 Digital Outputs and 8 Analog Inputs). All inputs are opto-isolated and the commands work in 1 / N configuration;
  • standard Eurocard module 2 card format (normally installed in standard 19 “rack, 6 DIN units height and 275mm depth);
  • option for dual hot-swappable power supply with fault  alarm;
  • option for dual CPUs and hot standby communication with failure alerts;
  • high density of  input / output  points for each cage, that can be equipped with up to 8 boards for a total of 384  I / O points;
  • Power input cards for 90 to 260 VAC and 18 to 132 Vdc;
  • ON / OFF  optocoupled input telesignals for 18 to 132 Vdc with positive or negative polarity, and 18 to 132 VAC. Each card group of 32 inputs has a separate common;
  • Bi-directional telemetry with 16-bit resolution and with suppressed zero, for high impedance voltage input (from +/- 0.5 to +/- 10 VDC) and current inputs (+/- 0,375mA to +/- 20mA) with a minimum impedance of 124 Ohm, and common point for each 8 inputs group. Each 8 input group  is electrically isolated;
  • impulsive remote controls relay output with high insulation and control of  contacts failure;
  • 12-bit analog control output, for current up to 20 mA and voltage up to 10Vdc, electrically  isolated in groups of 4 outputs, with the possibility of re-reading of the output value
