TerniEnergia, a company operating in the renewable energy field, one of the main system integrator companies in Italy in the photovoltaic sector, announces that  it completed the construction of 9 photovoltaic plants of industrial size during the period July-September 2009 for a total capacity of Euro 10,5 MWp. Through the completion of these new photovoltaic plants, the total number of plants performed by TerniEnergia increases to 122, for an aggregate capacity of about 35 MWp.
Seven of the new plants are located in Puglia, one in Marche and one in Umbria. The latter plant’s set up power exceeds 3 MWp, whilst the remaining plants’ capacity amounts to approximately 1 MWp each.

Notably, five of the new plants, whose power is about 7 MWp, are allocated to parithetic joint-venture companies whose shareholders are TerniEnergia and EDF Energies Nouvelles Italia – namely EnergiaAlternativa S.r.l. and Energie S.r.l. – and they are for production and sale of energy from solar source.

The other four plants already performed, for two TerniEnergia supplied the relevant modules, have been performed for third parties. The photovoltaic plants that have been performed for  the joint venture companies incorporated with EDF EN since 2006 increase to 16, for a set up aggregate power of 16.1 MWp.

Through the completion of these new nine plants, the company substantially reached the whole year 2009 industrial goals a quarter in advance, for a total set up capacity equal to almost 22 MWp.
