Completed in the II quarter 2011 12 photovoltaic plants for a total capacity of 20,4 MWp
· Started the building of 8 plants for a capacity of 31 MWp
· Alla plants covered by the law “Salva Alcoa” were connected to the grid except for 0,9 MWp.
TerniEnergia, a company operating in the renewable energy field and listed on Star segment of Borsa Italiana, in accordance with its previous plan, completed in the second quarter 2011 the building of 12 new industrial-size photovoltaic plants , for a total installed power equal to 20,4 MWp. Notably 4,1 MWp were performed in “full equity” and intended to remain in full ownership of the Company or to be sold after the connection to the grid (B.O.T.) 3 MWp were performed for equally owned Joint Ventures for the Power Generation business, while the remaining 13,3 MWp were performed on behalf of third parties. The new plants are based in the following regions: Piemonte, Veneto, Umbria, Lazio, Molise, Puglia e Sardegna.
The industrial results recorded in the second quarter 2011 confirm the excellent performance of the industrial management and the significant increase in activity if compared to the same period of last year (in the second quarter of 2010 15 photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 13.8 MWp were installed, 8,9 Mwp of which were performed on behalf of Joint Ventures). It should be noted, moreover, the increase in the plants production activity performed for Power Generation, in line with what was announced.
TerniEnergia informs, moreover, to have started the building of 8 industrial-sized photovoltaic plantsin the following regions: Piemonte, Umbria, Lazio, Campania e Sardegna for a total power of 31 MWp Notably, 1 plant was performed in “full equity” for electricity production for about 1 MWp, 1 plant with a capacity of 2,9 MWp was performed for equally-owned Joint Venture for Power Generation activity, while the remaining 6 plants were performed on behalf very important national operators with a total capacity of 27.1 MWp
Finally, TerniEnergia informs that all plants built as at December 31st , 2010 both for equally owned Joint Venture and for third parties and covered by the benefit of the law 129/2010 (so-called Salva Alcoa) have been connected to the grid according to the deadline regulations, with exception of one plant with a total installed capacity of about 0.9 MWp performed in JV.
Thus, the built and connected plants on June 30th, 2011 for equally owned Joint Ventures for Power Generation activity included in the rate of the First and Second Energy Account amounted to 48.4 MWp, and the remaining 0.9 MWp photovoltaic plant will be entered into the computerized register of the Energy Services Manager and introduced at the Fourth Energy Account starting from September 1st, 2011 to access to new tariffs.
