With news of cyber-attacks and data breaches that daily populate major headlines, the protection of virtual and physical assets belonging to critical infrastructures (energy, healthcare, finance, transportation, etc.) is a urgent priority.
The pervasive nature of connectivity and the progressive trend of digitalization allow the definition of innovative services that represent a significant competitive advantage for operators and stakeholders in all the aforementioned sectors: yet, progress comes with a price, and proper countermeasures must be adopted to prevent, mitigate and counteract cyber-attacks that might otherwise fatally compromise quality and continuity of essential services.
