The evolution of Internet into a global infrastructure capable of offering services in addition to content, together with the convergence of telecommunications networks (3G / LTE, WiFi / WiMax, Internet) and the great success in the consumer market for a new generation of smart mobile platforms (smart phones, tablet PC + App), are driving the increasing importance and spread of mobility services, delivered before and especially on the move, as primary component of an integrated, smart and sustainable management of people and goods mobility.

THE PROJECT

Technologies and Systems for the development and management of services for mobility – the services of dynamic information on the status and processes of transportation, booking, scheduling, shipping, tracking, payment, etc. – have become crucial, in fact, in all sectors directly or indirectly related to mobility, including traffic management, public transportation services, logistics and transportation / distribution of goods, tourism, various types of Location Based Services (LBS), etc.

The TCUBE project intends to address this applicative and technological context of primary importance for the development of solutions and products to support the Smart Mobility, with particular reference to the metropolitan area of Genoa and to Smart City scenarios considered by the Administration as a strategic context development and evolution of services for citizens.
