Similarly, the fast growth of business enterprise can be more easily supported by the creation of new machines and scalability of applications provided in virtual mode.
TerniEnergia was also involved in a workshop hosted by Business Smau Roma on Green mission: “How to grow and develop by improving the world around us, the case TerniEnergia”, during which he was presented the idea of innovation later rewarded.
As to the recognition, the Chief Information Officer Riccardo Rossi stated:
We have received the award Smau with great satisfaction, because it captures the full content of the project developed in collaboration with Dell, which in addition to introducing criteria of innovation and efficiency in the business organization allows a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions, reduced power consumption and greater environmental sustainability. In line with the shared principles of green IT, TERNI Research Group reached, thanks to hardware virtualization infrastructure, an important goal of saving the park information.

This project has completely changed the management of IT, making it easier and more effective, especially closer to the business. Now we are able to respond with great flexibility and responsiveness to requests that come from different areas, thus contributing in a concrete way to competitiveness in the market. We can say that IT has transformed itself from a pure business to Company strong support point”.
