TerniEnergia exceeds the industrial goals for year 2009 through the construction of six new photovoltaic plants during the third quarter for a total installed capacity of approximately 5,5 MWp

Terni, December 30th 2009 – TerniEnergia, a company operating in the renewable energy field, one of the main players in Italy in the photovoltaic sector, completed the construction of six photovoltaic plants of industrial size in the period from October to December 2009, for a total capacity of approximately 5,5 MWp.

Five of the new plants are placed in Puglia, the other one in Marche. As far as capacity is concerned, the power of the 5 plants is approximately 1 MWp each and the other one’s power is 0,622 MWp.

In addition, four of the new plants, whose total power amounts to approximately 3,9 MWp, are for the benefit of joint ventures companies that are equally owned by TerniEnergia and EDF Energies Nouvelles Italia and they are aimed at the production and sale of energy from the solar source.
The remaining two plants that have been constructed, also providing for solar panels, have been built for the benefit of third parties.

Through the completion of the new photovoltaic parks the total number of plants built by TerniEnergia increases up to 128, for an aggregate capacity of approximately 40 MWp.

Notably, photovoltaic parks that have been built for the benefit of joint venture companies with EDF EN since the year 2007 increase up to 20, for an installed aggregate power of 20 MWp.

Through the completion of the 6 new photovoltaic plants , industrial goals (22MWp) that were declared for the year 2009 have been exceeded by the Company, provided that the total installed capacity during the year amounts to more than 27 MWp.
