•  All plants completed by TerniEnergia were put into operation

TerniEnergia, a company operating in the renewable energy field and listed on Star segment of Borsa Italiana, announces that during the period between July 1st and August 31st, 2011 have been linked to the national electricity transmission grid 28 photovoltaic plants of industrial size, for a cumulated installed power capacity of 57.3 MWp. These plants will have direct access to the incentive fee of the “Quarto Conto Energia” for the months of July and August 2011.

Notably, 8.7 MWp were performed in “full equity” and intended to remain in full ownership of the Company or to be sold after the connection to the grid (Build, operate and transfer), 6.3 MWp were performed for equally owned Joint Ventures for the Power Generation business, while the remaining 42,3 MWp were performed on behalf of third parties. The new plants are based in the following regions: Piemonte, Veneto, Umbria, Lazio, Campania, Molise, Puglia e Sardegna. Among the plants connected there is the only plant not connected to the national electricity transmission grid at the end of June 30, 2011 (Legge “Save Alcoa”) for a total capacity of about 0.9 MWp in JV, as announced on July 1, 2011.

Stefano Neri, TerniEnergia’s Chairman and CEO, commented as follows:

The Company has been deeply involved, in the two months of July and August, in pursuit of this challenging goal, making it possible to overcome the constraint of the annual cap and will take advantage of incentive rates still full economic interesting”.

TerniEnergia’s total number of plants built from the very beginning of its activity as at August 31st, 2011 rose up to No. 242 for total power equal to 187 MWp, 10.4 MWp of which for plants in full equity, 61.2 115.4 MWp performed by the equal owned joint venture power generation business and the remaining MWp built on behalf of third parties.
