TerniEnergia S.p.A., a company operating in the renewable energy sector and listed on STAR segment of Borsa Italiana, announces that as at today, 8 industrial sized photovoltaic plants for a total capacity of 30 MWp are in an advanced construction stage and they are based in Lazio, Puglia, Calabria e Sicilia and Greece. The 8 photovoltaic plants were performed for third parties, with European utility importance and their vehicle companies, all without panels supply.
Notably 2 plants were of International importance, and respectively performed on behalf of the special purpose vehicle (SPV) Chamolio SA and Agrilia Baka SA, both 100% owned by a leading European utility, each of them with an installed capacity of about 5 MW.
Mr. Paolo Ricci, engineer and member of the Board of Director responsible for Development and International projects said:
“The operation is part of the strategic guidelines of the new Business Plan for 2011-2013 of TerniEnergia, presented at the end of last September, which provides for the start of the process of internationalization in the EPC business through agreements with partners operating in the Utility sector and of European importance. It should be noted that, while providing an intervention in an industrial area as that of Greece in the middle of a difficult financial situation, the contracts have been guaranteed by th high standing Utility that controls the two special purpose vehicle, eliminating the unknowns related to Country Risk”
