UITP’s Global Public Transport Summit 2019 is underway in Stockholm: Softeco will participate in the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) workshop with the IMOVE project.
UITP – the International Association of Public Transport – is the global reference network for sustainable urban mobility. The theme he proposes at this year’s Global Summit is “The Art of Public Transport”. The mobility of the city, constantly evolving, it is planned and designed by experts according to the needs and characteristics of individual urban areas: designing mobility becomes an art, the art of public transport.
Present at the Summit, Softeco will present the latest updates on the IMOVE project, co-funded under the EU Horizon 2020 program and coordinated by Softeco itself. Taking advantage of a partnership of fifteen organizations, including UITP, distributed in eight European countries, IMOVE aims to promote the scalability of MaaS schemes in Europe, experimenting and evaluating solutions that will allow them to arrive at “roaming” services of Mobility -as-a-service at the community level.
The objective is attainable by studying various fundamental aspects of Mobility-as-a-Service, including: the opportunities offered by innovative business models, the interoperability and compatibility of the various technological platforms used in the management of services, the problems related to the commercial collaboration between MaaS operators, the analysis and profiling of the users of the mobility aimed at better understanding the users’ travel needs and offering the best service.
From 9 to 12 June, the main players involved at various levels in public transport meet in Stockholm, for what is the world reference event for public mobility.
